The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Yet another ripped off

And the idiot designer who claimed that it was done by him , he just couldn't understand chinese character , the chinese character mean bao of xiaobao and my watermark can still be seem.

From time to time , i received quite a couple of mails about people ripping off my designs and had seldom blogged about it as most of them had make a effort to retrace it , merged my designs into 1 (* i would love to show u guys sometime ) and watever . This is so far the worst i had seem..haha..

*For rippers , if anyone can catch you then you are not doing a good job so please do a better job next time . For example, the chinese character, i would suggest you to change it to 羊 means lamb in english because you are just too lame.

It's time to enlarge my watermark to full scale for my future artworks , i really need to apologise to my friends and watchers here as report of rippers had rised alot in this couple of months and there's really nothing much we as a artist can do.

Ripping off , even an artwork or design being stolen is rather common in today's world. (* of coz , i am not encouraging anyone to start doing this. )

Walking down into any fashion streets in your neighbourhood today , it is not hard for one to spot out designs you might had seen on net before especially designs from Threadless. "Big company" can't do anything about it so what can a "small artist" like you or me do?

I'm not upset or angry , i seen this coming since the day i started to post my works online. The only things you or me can do now is to watermark , watermark and further watermarked your works to prevent it .

Until then , thanks to those who had emailed me frequently on the rip off or stolen artworks.
